PRP for Men Revitalize Your Hair Loss

Male pattern hair loss is the most common cause of hair loss and can impact up to 85% of men throughout their lifetime. It is only known to get worse as men age because of both hormonal and hereditary factors. PRP treatment can be the solution for your hair loss issues.

At Karmina Beauty Clinic, I offer PRP Hair Loss Treatment for men in Forest Hills, NYC.  In order to stimulate hair growth and provide a natural solution for hair loss, this therapy uses your blood to process platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which is subsequently injected straight into the scalp.

The non-surgical process has become one of the most popular hair loss therapies due to the excellent results that can be achieved. It provides a speedy and painless alternative to conventional men’s hair loss treatments.

Rediscover your confidence with PRP Hair Restoration for men at Karmina Beauty Clinic. Boost hair growth naturally and fight thinning with the power of your own platelets. Book your consultation today and take the first step toward healthier hair!

The Key Benefits of PRP for Men

What Is PRP for Men and How Does It Work?

PRP therapy for men is a non-surgical option for hair loss and density enhancement. A small amount of blood is taken from the patient and then spun in a centrifuge to separate plasma rich in growth factors. Having a high concentration of nutrients, this plasma is injected into thinning and balding areas of the scalp.

Growth factors in the PRP are said to stimulate hair follicles to grow thicker and fine hair while also increasing the blood supply to the follicles and thus extending the growth phase of the hair cycle. Over time, this can lead to reduced shedding, increased hair thickness, and visible hair regrowth. PRP is a minimally invasive and safe treatment that uses the body’s natural healing response to balance male pattern baldness and thinning hair.

Step-by-Step Process of PRP for Men Hair Regrow

  1. Collection Of Blood Sample: As an expert, I will draw 20 ml of blood as the initial step in the PRP hair loss therapy procedure.
  2. Separation Of Platelets: I separate platelets from blood using the centrifuge technique. The double-spin technique ensures the ideal concentration of growth factor-rich platelets.
  3. Extraction & Activation Of PRP From The Blood: I get the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) from the leftover parts of the blood, like the platelet-poor plasma (PPP) and red blood cells in the tube. Before injecting the PRP into the patient’s scalp, I activate the growth factors in the plasma with a special activating agent.
  4. Insertion Of PRP Into Affected Area: In the final stage of PRP for men, I utilize microneedles to safely inject the PRP that was extracted from the blood into the afflicted scalp area. To ensure you are pain-free, I  will apply local anesthesia to the scalp margin before inserting the platelet-rich plasma.

Who Is the Right Candidate for PRP Treatment for Male Baldness?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatment for men is a versatile option for men looking to combat hair loss and improve hair density.

  • Suitable for men with androgenic alopecia or pattern baldness.
  • Effective for early-stage hair thinning.
  • Enhances results when combined with hair transplant procedures.
  • Stimulates hair follicles to promote regrowth and increase density.
  • Ideal candidates are typically adults in good health, without blood disorders or severe scalp issues

Who Should Avoid PRP Hair Treatment?

  1. Blood Disorders: PRP therapy is less suitable for conditions that impact blood clotting, such as hypofibrinogenemia, thrombocytopenia, and platelet dysfunction syndromes.
  2. Active Infections: Your body must concentrate on healing when you have sepsis or an acute infection, which could affect the effectiveness of PRP.
  3. Chronic Health Conditions: It’s crucial to talk to your doctor about any contraindications, such as cancer or chronic liver disease.
  4. Medications: Blood thinners can interfere with PRP treatment by affecting coagulation.

PRP For Men FAQs

PRP is injected directly into the scalp, where it reaches the hair follicles. It's a careful process that calls for injections over the diminishing hair area around every half inch. PRP is used to prevent or reverse the slow but steady shrinkage of hair follicles and to promote hair follicle growth to counteract androgenic alopecia, a frequent early symptom of baldness.

PRP treatment for hair loss typically takes about 30 to 45 minutes per session. This includes preparation, drawing blood, processing it, and injecting the platelet-rich plasma into the scalp to stimulate hair growth and improve hair density over time.

While numbing methods are available, some patients choose to get injections without numbing during treatment. If necessary, ice packs and cool air can be utilized to reduce discomfort. You can experience some brief discomfort and swelling after treatment. Although bruises can happen, they normally go away in a week or two.

Patients may experience effects as early as two to three months, though response times vary.  Patients typically report less hair loss initially, then regrowth indicators, and finally, longer hair.
